Woman who survived breast cancer wins $150k lottery

The lucky war veteran plans to use the money she has won to make repairs at home, donate to the church and a cancer research programme.

A woman in the United States, Donna Boyd-Warren, is in a celebratory mode, after it was confirmed that she won $150,000 in Virginia's Cash5 lotto.

Boyd-Warren, who lives in North Chesterfield, Virginia, is said to be in remission, after surviving cancer over five years ago, according to ABC News.

She intends to invest her winnings into domestic repairs, donate to the church and fund cancer research, which hits close to home for her.

Commenting about the good luck, she said, "Life goes on as usual for that I'm happy,"
"We were blessed with the winnings."
"Maybe two times a week I pick six sets of the same numbers,"
"I look on the lotto online and pick the numbers that happen the most", she said.
