FIFA President, Currently In Nigeria
Day one
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino is currently in Nigeria for a two-day visit where he will meet with NFF leadership and President Muhammadu Buhari.
President of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Gianni Infantino on Sunday, July 24 arrived in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, on a two-day visit.
Infantino arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport where he was received by the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi.
Others who received the FIFA president include vice presidentsSeyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, and other members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management.
Infantino who was accompanied by the Secretary General of FIFA, Ms Fatma Samoura, executive assistants Mattias Grafstrom and Veron Mosengo-Omba.
He was taken straight to the Transcorp Hilton Hotel where he met with NFF president visiting FA presidents from other African countries at a cocktail dinner.
A total of 17 FA presidents were available at the meeting; they include, Kwesi Nyantakyi (Ghana), Lamin Kaba Bajo (The Gambia), Isha Johansen (Sierra Leone), Musa Bility (Liberia),Juneidi Basha Tilmo (Ethiopia), Nicholas Kithuku (Kenya),Andrew Chamanga (Zambia), Philip Chiyangwa (Zimbabwe),Frans Mbidi (Namibia), Chabur Goc Alei (South Sudan),Walter Nyamilandu (Malawi), Abdiqani Said Arab (Somalia),Vincent Nzamwita (Rwanda), Moses Magogo (Uganda),Jamal Malinzi (Tanzania), Augustin Senghor (Senegal) andSouleman Waberi (Djibouti).
