Aaron Carter sued for $50k for not paying 'intern' who designed his website-by Lekan Macualay
Aaron Carter has been slapped with a lawsuit by a man claiming the star is refusing to pay him for work he did on his website.
John Cantu agreed to design Carter's music marketing page and is now claiming that when he asked for a paycheck in June the singer scoffed, deeming him an unpaid intern.
TMZ reports Cantu is now demanding $50,000 from the Aaron's Party hitmaker after maintaining his website for several months.
Not coughing up: Aaron Carter has been accused of cheating a web developer out of money after he worked on the star's marketing website for several months
In the lawsuit Cantu says he can't be an intern if he didn't learn anything from the 28-year-old pop star.
It's not clear if Carter agreed to pay Cantu before the work started or if the web developer just assumed it was a paid gig.
In response to not getting his money Cantu took control of Carter's webpage and briefly redirected traffic to his own Twitter handle.
The aaroncarter.com webpage is now completely blank.
Carter has apparently responded with his own letter demanding control of the web page back but Cantu is refusing to hand it over until he is compensated.
